My name's Joe.

I am currently living in Lincoln City, Oregon. I just returned to Oregon from Shanghai where I was teaching English. Before this I had many jobs, including carpenter, dishwasher, massage therapist, day trader, Naval Petty Officer, semiconductor tech, office assistant, NAFTA certificate processor (briefly), and a caregiver.

I've studied at Central Oregon Community College, Portland State University, and the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command. I am good at math and computers but horrible at spelling and grammar.

I also have many hobbies such as flying airplanes (I've a private pilot's license), racing cars & motorcycles, and traveling. I have lived in almost as many homes as I am old (including a couple of farms, and not counting a few times in my car). I have traveled to Mexico, Peru, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Canada, hiked the Inca Trail, and have taken several road trips around America. In the spring of 2008 I took a what was supposed to be a trip around China but ended up being along the Silk Road.

I was married for 5 years to a Japanese woman and have one son who lives with her in Tokyo. Now I am currently married to a beautiful Chinese woman named Shirley. We were married in July, 2008, and hope to begin a family soon.

We've just moved from Shanghai, China, to Lincoln City, Oregon. We are currently looking for universities in which Shirley can teach. Once we find a good one we'll look for a house to rent and a job for me as well.
